All four of the dentists at Triangle have a special interest and skills in cosmetic dentistry. Most patients want the best appearance for their teeth and smile and we will work with you to achieve this.
Techniques we use range from simple tooth-whitening to tooth-coloured fillings, inlays, crowns, veneers, and bridges. Sometimes computer imaging is used to provide an idea of how your smile could be improved with cosmetic dentistry.

Tooth Whitening

Tooth Whitening is simple, and increasingly sought-after treatment. Specially made custom trays are filled with a whitening gel then worn during the night, every night for two to three weeks, or until the desired degree of whitening is achieved. The trays are made from a thin, transparent and flexible material that makes them comfortable to wear.

It is also possible, with a slightly different technique, to use whitening to improve the colour of an individual tooth.

Tooth coloured fillings

Tooth coloured fillings can be used to restore a decayed tooth or to replace an old, unsightly filling. They can also be used to improve the appearance of front teeth that have become worn or damaged. They can be made either of composite resin or porcelain. 


Veneers

A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain that is bonded on to a tooth to improve its appearance. Veneers can be used for a variety of cosmetic improvements, such as to mask severe staining that can’t otherwise be removed, to modify the shape of a tooth, or to close spacing.  They are custom-made for each individual patient and the colour can be carefully matched to the adjacent teeth. Where several veneers are to be made a specific shade can be selected to give the overall improvement that is desired.

Inman Aligner

Until now, the alternatives to straighten front teeth involved either long and expensive orthodontic treatments or destructive and expensive restorative treatments such as veneers or crowns. Even ultrathin veneers involve some reduction of natural teeth when used to align crowding or protrusion.
But with the arrival of the Inman Aligner, all that has changed.
The Inman Aligner is a cost-effective removable orthodontic appliance that moves teeth in a fraction of the time of other systems. It aligns crowded or protruding anterior teeth with two opposing spring loaded aligner bars. This provides gentle but continuous pressure over a large range of movement. Surprisingly, this gentle pressure is the quickest way to move teeth but it also makes treatment very safe and kind to teeth.
